Flexing for the Camera

Today I'm going to be talking about an often overlooked aspect of the sport...flexing for the camera. Flexing is as equally important as weight shifting, rider positioning, and your choice of helmet. Lets face it, if you don't look good, whose going to sign you to an endorsement deal? I got my deal with Playtex due to the incredible definition in my arms. They don't care about where I finish in the race....they just want me to look good.

There is definitely an art to flexing for the camera. Take note of fig.1. Notice how you can make out every sinewy fiber in my arms. "How did you do that Moab?" people ask. Well first you've got to get in the gym and pump up those arms. Do as much as you can do and try for 10-15 reps. Then take a break and go get a milkshake. Also if someone around has a camera try to flex at all times just to be safe. I ride with some pretty good riders but they have no definition in their arms so who is going to sign them? Did someone say The School for Girlymen!
In fig.2 you notice I was caught in the act of warming up fora ride when some weasel snapped a photo. I still look damn good in the picture and the weasel got pummeled shortly after. In summary, work out, drink milkshake, warm up, and pummel weasel. Next week we'll talk about the proper way to go over logs and still look good.
