Hi,
I'm headed to Durango and Ouray and am looking to ride on July 23 and 25th.

Friday July 23rd I'm looking to shuttle Molass to Cascade (CT to Engineer Trail). I'll have my truck so looking for someone to shuttle. I could potentially take up to 4 additional people. I'll be staying in Ouray at that time so I'd have to meet you at the Cascade parking lot.

Saturday July 25th - Not sure what to ride this day but I'd like to do something closer to Durango or ending closer to Durango----Maybe Kennebac or Hermosa? I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks for reading.

Andy

Will do, looking like I'm a little more flexible

July 21 or July 22 - I'm staying in Ouray

July 24 or July 25 - I'll be in Durango

I may not be able to join mid-week but I'd definitely be in for the weekend in Durango. If you want to ride the CT from Molas while you are in Ouray I think it would work fine as an out and back. I've always wanted to ride it north.... Or you could ride it as a loop Molas to Coal Bank and then a half hour ride on the road with a 1,000 ft climb. Not bad either way but much more singlerack riding as an out and back.

I am thinking of a ride from Kennebec Pass north on the Colorado trail to Hotel Draw and then down hermosa if that sounds good. It would be 6 - 8 hours of riding I think

I don't have anything scheduled for 24th and 25th, I'm sure I'd be up for a ride.

Just realized that is the weekend of the CT jamboree.... If we want to do the ride I described (North from Kennebec to Hotel Draw) we need to do it saturday or we will face alot of oncoming traffic. If we decide to do another part of the CT (i.e molas, blackhawk etc) it should be sunday.

I'd like ride sunday if possible---saturday doesn't look as good now for me. I'll pm you my info. Call me next week and we can work something out. Looking for a little shorter ride-4-5 hour ish.

Sunday works for me, how about you Terry? What about something like Pass Trail to White creek to CT to Blackhawk to secret trail of corral draw? Its a relatively short shuttle and lots of bailout options.... Might even be in good shape after the CT jamboree

If you want to do 5 hours of riding, I'd figure you're looking for around 20-25 miles of riding. I think if you loop Blackhawk from Herrmosa trail head, that is about 24 miles. I would like to do Corral Draw, but I think that is only 14 miles or so. Going from Coalbank to Molas makes a nice ride too.

What's the plan? I might be camping over at Lemon or Vallecito, but I can head over early Sunday for whatever.

I was thinking of meeting in town around 8 and seeing what the weather looks like.

Some options...

1) Blackhawk, but its a little short and a bad place to be in a storm

2) Coal Bank to blackhawk, longer and all singletrack but requires a shuttle

3) Kennebec (maybe to Clear crk?)also a little short but with options and mostly out of the weather

4) Dutch-jones

5) Missionary Ridge but I don't know what the conditions are like right now...

How about we meet at Durango Bagel works at 8 and make a decision
