Hey guys. I am fairly new to this forum. I have ridden with a few of you. I have seen a lot of Utah/slickrock stuff on this board. I figured it was high time we get a little granite on here. I live in Kernville, California. We have tons of trails around here and lots of granite. A few friends and I have been doing some work on a trail recently and it is really coming together. It is an all mountain trail with some stunts mixed in. 1000' of climbing and 5500' of decent. These are some of the best pictures from several recent rides.

Hopefully I didn't put too many pictures up. It was hard for me to pick out just a few.

Nice, Jeff. This looks particularly gutsy:

Nice pix, Jeff. Thanks for showing them off! I just got back from Estonia and Switzerland and it appears I received your CD. Thanks!

"Nice, Jeff. This looks particularly gutsy:"

It is a tricky 2-step roller. The last 2 pictures are of the same rock from a different angle. I put a small transition at the bottom. The first time I tried this move I didn't look at the transition good enough. I had been working on the trail on foot and decided that this roller was doable. The next time I rode the trail I remembered the move so I didn't even stop to check it out. My front tire landed in a soft hole at the bottom and I went straight over the bars and into a bush. Unfortunatly no camera was rolling. Danno was behind me and he was laughing pretty hard. I made sure I fixed that problem before I rode it again.

"Can't wait to ride the new trail."

As you can see it is ridable now. We do a short shuttle then climb for about an hour on a fire road. This puts us where we can ride the lower part of the trail. In 2 weeks or so the snow will be melted up by the ski area. We will then be able to connect "Just Outstanding" to this trail. That is going to be a sweet ride! You and your crew should get up here before it gets hot. Perhaps these photos will even entice JD to hit some more dirt. Don't come up May 3 though as I will be out of town.

OK. I am only now matching your Forum name to who you are. I hope some of those work for you. I went through and grabbed the ones I thought were good. I have very few Bear Creek/Camp Nelson pictures where the rider is not in the air.

Are you still coming out West some time in May to pick up those vans?

Looking less likely. I'm having the vans shipped here to avoid the CA tax hit.
