Most of us will be there. As for Monster Park practice....unless you are an ivited pro, riding the course is strictly prohibited. (C Duncan rode his hardtail on it last year and looked like a fish outta water)
Judging from last years course, it will not be hardtail friendly, except maybe the bottom section.

After seeing the stuff that is being built down there in person, and remembering the stuff from last year.. Unless you are a top 20 in the world rider, there are only a couple of things that you could ride on the course anyway, and would have to be sessioned and not combined in a run. And each would have a sketchy run in and out. It is not like the Boneyard in whistler and open to the public. I am still trying to make it down there, but the chances are looking dim. It may be a one day hit and run for me if I want to go.
the nike jump jam is a jump contest in front of the bike shop. I am not sure if there is a pro and am class. I believe that Andrew Shandro of NWD film fame will be on the mtn next week making the jumps.

i can handle rock gardens drops and gaps (the road gap has me extra pumped
) my main concern is super fast sections and landings that have alot of rocks in the ground, and my second concern is slick mud, especially where i want to brake or on off camber turns... both have led to disaster for me. if i can ill pick up some dh tires before the race... right now im running holyrollers, perfect for everything but actual mountain biking mountain biking lol
