Upgrading Derailleurs

Im looking to updgrade my stock low end derailleurs and need some advice. Right now my bike has Shimano Altus front derailleur and Shimano Deore M591 rear derailleur. I would like to upgrade both of these. Im not looking to spend a crazy amount of money but I do plan on using them for another year or two so mid level would be sufficient. Shimano?? SRAM?? Let me know what you think.

Any Spokejunkies going to the RTA fest this weekend? If you do and need a place to stay let me know, most of my family lives in Marietta so you could stay for free. I have yet to ride road or mtn bikes there so this will be a new experience for me. Send me a message if you want to join.
